Project Details
A client wanted a makeover for a cabin on the lower deck of his boat.
- Project: Boat Reupholstery
- Category: Boat Upholstery
Our Task
Using fabric material we provided boat upholstery repair for six new cushions.
We recently had the opportunity to upholster a Mastercraft boat seat, and we were impressed with the results. The seat was in good condition overall, but it was starting to show its age. We decided to give it a fresh look by upholstering it in a new fabric. The process was not difficult, but it did take some time. We first removed the old fabric and then measured and cut the new fabric to size. We glued the new fabric in place and then stapled it to the underside of the seat. The finished product looked fantastic and we were very happy with the results. We would definitely recommend this project to anyone who is looking for a way to breathe new life into an old piece of furniture.
The cabin below deck works harder than any room in a house. Its cushions are couch, dinette, and bed all in one, and they live in a damp space with barely any airflow. A makeover down there is really a comfort project disguised as an upholstery project, and getting it right makes the whole boat feel newer.
Jobs like this usually include:
Every boat’s lower deck is a little different, so we template from the space or the old cushions rather than trusting a tape measure sketch. Corners, curves, and taper all get captured before a single cut.
Our cushion services reach well past the living room. Call 717-383-6917 and tell us about your cabin.
