A New Life for a Family Heirloom
This project focused on reviving a beloved Ethan Allen wingback chair and ottoman, originally crafted with solid wood and traditional upholstery. The frame was in excellent structural condition, but the original fabric had faded, the cushions had flattened, and the skirted base of the ottoman had become dated and worn.
We carefully stripped the old materials, reinforced the inner springs and padding, and fully reupholstered both the chair and ottoman using a stunning vintage-inspired floral chenille fabric. The soft, textured material in hues of dusty blue, cream, and muted green created a timeless, elegant look — true to the spirit of traditional American craftsmanship.
The result is a graceful, comfortable lounge chair ready for another generation of stories.
