Small chair, honest work
Vanity chairs tend to arrive with a story. They come down from mothers and grandmothers, they have spun in the corner of a bedroom for fifty years, and the fabric is the only part that has given up. Frames from that era are usually sturdier than anything sold today, which makes them ideal candidates for reupholstery rather than replacement.
We take the seat down from its swivel base, rebuild the padding with fresh foam, and sew a new cover suited to the piece, tailored and tacked for a clean modern look or skirted for the classic vanity style. The swivel gets cleaned and oiled while we are at it, so the chair turns like it did on day one. A few of these little survivors have made it into our portfolio.
