From plain to statement piece
Some chairs are born ordinary. The frame is fine, the proportions are fine, and everything about them says fine. That is exactly the kind of chair worth transforming, because a bold fabric over good bones costs a fraction of a designer piece and looks like nothing else in the room, or the county.
The transformation is mostly discipline. We strip the chair, fix whatever the years have loosened, and rebuild the padding so the new fabric sits over fresh foundations rather than old lumps. Then the fabric does its work. A strong pattern needs careful placement, centered motifs and matched repeats, or the boldness reads as chaos instead of style. The difference between loud and lovely is usually half an inch of pattern placement.
