A seat where the window meets the wall
Build-to-suit window seats are a partnership project. A carpenter builds the box, we build the comfort, and the finished nook only works if both halves fit like they were planned together, which of course they were. These seats have a way of becoming the most fought-over spot in the house, and morning coffee migrates to them all on its own.
For a custom reupholstered window seat we handle:
- Templating the alcove, including its imperfect angles
- Firm high-density foam that holds shape under daily sitting
- A fitted cover with a zipper and a non-slip bottom
Bay windows and angled nooks are welcome here. The stranger the shape, the more a proper template earns its keep. We have fitted nooks that had no two corners at the same angle.
