Furniture that has to disappear

Not many pieces of furniture have to get out of the way on command. A sofa parked in front of a Murphy bed does, so every cushion on it is designed twice: once to sit right through a long evening, and once to clear the bed frame the moment it swings down. It is a small stage, and everything has to hit its mark.

We spec high-density foam cut to exact depths so nothing binds the mechanism, and we fit the covers snug so they do not wander after a month of daily folding. Zippers and closures go where the hardware cannot chew on them, and the fabric is chosen to take the extra handling. Work like this leans on our cushion building service as much as on plain upholstery.
